Overview

VNSNY is the largest nonprofit provider of home based healthcare in the US. Founded in the East Village, VNSNY has been caring for patients in NY and its surrounding areas for 125 years.

Solution

We were brought in by our strategy consulting partner Tronvig Group — Visiting Nurse Service of New Yorks’ retained marketing agency, performing strategy consulting services and writing for VNSNY and their 125th Anniversary. Our role in the project was providing creative conceptualization and final execution. Working within the existing brand of VNSNY, we created a type lockup for the 125th Anniversary that would be used throughout the campaign. We updated the corporate stationery and internal branded items to work with the new creative and provided a modified identity guidelines outlining correct usage and specifics for internal use by VNSNY.

For the internal campaign VNSNY wanted to shed light on their 125 year history and their devoted staff to energize the organization for the next hundred years. The campaign headline “We are stronger than our circumstances” clearly communicates overcoming challenges was a thread that connects more then a century of dedication and exemplary services to New Yorkers. The campaign imagery displayed multiple examples, through out the last century, of every day perseverance of their nurses caring for their patients.

For the external campaign two different strategies were employed to target the general public and doctors and medical staff. Print ads of various sizes were created for various publications along with external environmental displays around New York City.

An online timeline was created illustrating the rich history and achievements of the organization. Filled with statistics, facts, photos and videos, Visiting Nurse Service of New York is able to showcase their ongoing service to New York area over the past 125 years.
